Piikup is the vision of founder and CEO April Fenall. Piikup was highlighted for their work in the Oakland community receiving an Oakland Indie Award in 2017 Social Changemaker category winner.

The origin that inspired creation for the company came both because of her own experience navigating the workforce with a B.A. and being formerly incarcerated. Noting that things were not always positive when trying to navigate spaces asl a queer woman, Black woman and person with a disability looking for a deeper connection with the people and companies that she worked with.

In creating Piikup, she saw an opportunity to create a space for people to get a first chance and sometimes, a second chance in life. At the same time being the trusted and reliable delivery support that local small businesses need to survive and consistently deliver a great experience to their customers.
